Going forward, wonder if 10 could consider, if not returning to the old daytime (due to current economic climate/ROI), a prime time lead-in, such as Saturdays and/or Sundays 4:30pm before the news or 6pm after the news?

A flop in any timeslot. They picked the wrong host for this show. It never stood a chance.

Have to agree. I know he has lots of fans but he is too polarizing. Can’t have a host that is a Immediate switch off for a big segment of the population

It’s currently at 4:00pm before the news as a lead-in to the 5pm Saturday news? They also tried 6:30 Saturdays, a different timeslot won’t help as has been mentioned.

The show needed a different host. Wrong strategy for Primetime as well.

Amanda Keller would be a great host, can talk to anyone and get them talking as well which is what you need. The host doesn’t need to be a cook/chef.

Never thought of that, but she would be. Would love to see her front an interview type series, she’s great at that sort of thing. Maybe some special reports. It’s a shame she’s not on air regularly anymore, well on television at least.

We are all saddened by the final of this incarnation (to be airing tomorrow) :stuck_out_tongue:

At least 10 aired it and not shelve it completely.

Miguel was on The Cheap Seats earlier this week and chatted with Melanie and Tim about this season. Some highlights from the season were also shown (including Dan’s proposal to Michael).

Melanie and Tim didn’t mention the show is available on 10 play to catch up, or the season finale is on tomorrow. Missed opportunity for last minute promotion.

Came across this on YouTube… You know you were getting a quality production when you saw an “Endemol Southern Star” logo:

[courtesy: LJ Network, YT]

Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Ready Steady Cook, among other global formats licenced by Endemol that were produced by Australia’s Southern Star (Blue Heelers, McLeod’s, Rush, Offspring to name some).

Later known as Endemol Australia. Then Endemol Shine Australia when they merged with Shine (TBL via Fremantle, MasterChef via Fremantle, Bachelor/Bachelorette, Gogglebox). Now owned by Banijay.

Wouldn’t you have seen this endboard AFTER viewing a production?
