Ratings: Seven wins Wednesday thanks to News and Home and Away

The Seven Network won its second consecutive Wednesday despite none of its post 7.30pm shows making the top 20.

The heavy lifting was left to Seven News and Home And Away to help deliver the network the same audience share as the previous week with some help from multichannels. In contrast, 10 lost 2 points while ABC, SBS and Nine posted increased shares.

Nine won Sydney and Melbourne with Seven ahead in the other three markets. Seven won 25-54 while 10 topped the 16-39 age group.

Hard Quiz was the top entertainment show again, even with last week. The Bachelor held onto it audience from the launch episode the week before and easily topped the demos. ABC’s Mad As Hell improved and helped Planet America to make a rare top 20 appearance.
