Ratings: Seven wins Thursday as Nine slips to third with one-sided NRL match

Last Night saw a big turn around in ratings fortunes from last Thursday with Nine slipping from first to third as a one-sided NRL match failed to perform well for the network.

Over on Seven, the return of The Front Bar helped boost the network to number one while 10 saw its network share lift by almost 3 points.

Predictably, Nine won the NRL states while Seven won in AFL territory while 10 ranked second in all markets except Brisbane. (See listing below)

In key demographics 10 came out on top with Nine second. In the key demo groups 10’s main channel was number with the network claiming the top two multichannels as well.

In 25-54, 10 had 31.9% of the audience with Nine attracting 27.6%, Seven 23.7%, ABC 10.4% and SBS with 6.4%.

In 16-39, 10’s share lifted to 36.7%. Nine was again second with 27.4% then Seven had 21.8%, ABC 8.5% and SBS 5.7%.

Leading the entertainment shows was MasterChef up slightly on the previous week. The show outperformed the NRL this week in Sydney and Brisbane. Britain’s Got Talent’s move to Thursday saw the show lose some audience.
