The Seven Network was number one in the overnight ratings for the third night in a row and now leads week 24 with 27.7% ahead of Nine on 26.9%. Compared to the previous Wednesday, Seven was up three points, SBS was up one with Nine, 10 and ABC dropping. Seven won all markets except Sydney that was won by Nine.
It was Seven’s highest Wednesday share of 2020 while ABC continued its poor results for the week with its lowest share since the first week of the survey in February.
In the 25-54 demographic group Seven had 31.7%, 10 had 26.2%, Nine 21.9%, ABC 12.6% and SBS 7.7%.
In 16-39 Seven’s share improved to 33.6%, while 10 lifted to 29.0%. Nine had 20.1%. ABC 11.1% and SBS 6.2%.
MasterChef was again well clear of the pack, topping the entertainment offerings in total people and key demographic results. Big Brother’s ratings were the lowest of the three episodes so far broadcast falling below 800,000 for the bulk of the episode.
The return of The Front Bar did best in Melbourne where it ranked 10th; Perth was next best were it ranked 12th while Adelaide ranked it 14th. In Sydney the show was 39th and just 48th in Brisbane.
Nine’s Taronga Who’s Who In The Zoo dropped 90,000 week-on-week while Paramedics that followed was down 110,000. The debut of US police drama Tommy on 10 missed the top 20with 358,000.
The second episode of Filthy Rich and Famous on SBS slipped to just 272,000.
