Ratings: Nine wins overnight ratings by 0.2% for second night this week

For the second consecutive night the Nine Network won the overnight ratings by a margin of just 0.2%. Nine also had the top main channel as well as winning across the three east coast markets. Seven, however, won Adelaide and Perth while 10 was a winner as the top rated network in key advertiser-friendly demographic groups.

In the 25-54 age bracket, 10 recorded a network share of 29.6% with Seven on 27.3%, Nine 25.5%, ABC 11.7% and SBS with 5.9%.

In the 16-39 year-old group it was 10 with 34.8%, Seven 27.6%, Nine 21.0%, ABC 11.0% and SBS 5.6%.

The 7.30pm reality show results followed a similar pattern to Sunday with MasterChef on top in total people and key demos. The Voice then ranked second in total people while Big Brother was second with younger audiences.

Also in key demo’s 10’s line up saw Have You Been Paying Attention? rank second while The Project also made the top 5 in all groups. Kinne Tonight that followed averaged 322,000 in preliminary numbers and did best in 16-39 where it ranked 11th.

Over on Nine, The Voice ranked 6th in 25-54 and 9th in 16-39. Later, a Music From The Front repeat saw 333,000 tune in. Meanwhile, Seven’s 9-1-1 had 380,000 and 305,000 across two episodes.

ABC’s line up got off to a good start with ABC News and 7.30 up week-on-week. Back Roads and Four Corners that followed posted lower numbers than the previous Monday, however Q&A was up 50,000 week-on-week. SBS’s best result came from Secrets of Royal Travel that had an audience of 205,000.
