# Ratings: Nine starts Easter non-ratings with a Sunday prime-time win as Australia Grand Prix grabs 864,000

The first day of the Easter “non-ratings” period saw a win for the **Nine** network after 6pm as **Ten’s** Formula One coverage dominated afternoon viewing.

Ten’s broadcast drew 864,000 for the F1 race with 709,000 tuning in for the Podium presentation at 6pm and 463,000 for the post-race coverage that started at 6:10pm (time corrected numbers).

Meanwhile, **ABC’s** _Doc Martin_ plus _Nine News_ and _Seven News_ were the only programs to score over one million viewers with **Seven’s** _My Kitchen Rules_ rested for the night.

Nine had 32.2% of the audience, well clear of Seven (24.3%), ABC (20.2%), Ten (16.6%) and **SBS** (6.8%). Nine won all markets except Perth where Seven was number one.

_Nine News Sunday_ (1,067,000) and _60 Minutes_ (959,000) were Nine’s best titles with \_The Mad World of Donald Trum\_p (821,000) also making the top ten. Later, _Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall_ had 427,000.

For Seven, _Seven News_ (1,040,000) and _Sunday Night_ (754,000) were best with _Border Security: International_ that followed on 612,000. An earlier start for _The Blacklist_ saw its overnight number improve to 433,000 but the debut of _Odyssey_, a short lived US drama that followed, had just 224,000 and 123,000.

_Doc Martin_ with 1,111,000 was the night’s top show with _ABC News_ (882,000) and _Call the Midwife_ (660,000) also doing well. A repeat of _Joanna Lumley’s Trans Siberian Adventure_ then had 402,000.

After the Grand Prix, Ten’s best result was for _Modern Family_ with 550,000 and 491,000. Later, _American Crime Story_ had 439,000 and _NCIS: New Orleans_ 244,000. Earlier, _Scorpion_ averaged 386,000 and _Ten Eyewitness News_ had 180,000 in thee cities.

Documentaries, _The Story of Egypt_ (259,000) and _Rome: What Lies Beneath_ (191,000), were best for SBS.

At breakfast, _Today Sunday_ had 269,000, well clear of _Sunrise Sunday_ on 228,000 and _Weekend Breakfast_ with 65,000 and 64,000. ABC’s _Insider’s_ had 290,000 while _The Conversation with Alex Malley_ saw 168,000 tune in.
