Ratings: LEGO Masters Monday ratings with 1.46 million

The Grand final of LEGO Masters helped the Nine Network to another Monday win. Nine’s winning share of 29.4% was up 1.5 share points from the previous Monday. 10 with 21.9% also posted an increase of 1 point while Seven (24.2%) and ABC (17.8%) lost audience share; SBS was steady with 6.8%.

Nine won along the east coast while Seven won in Adelaide and Perth. 10 placed second in Sydney and Melbourne.

Nine won the 25-54 demo with 32.5% ahead of 10 with 28.5% while Seven had 20.9%, ABC 12.5% and SBS 5.6%.

10 topped the 16-39 age group with 33.5% just ahead of Nine with 32.9%. Seven ranked third with 18.5%, ABC had 10.9% and SBS 4.1%.

The LEGO Masters Winner Announced was the top program for the night with 1.462 million. That compared to the 2019 result of 1.481 million while the rest of the final secured an audience of 1.219 million down slightly from 2019’s 1.253 million. The winners’ segment is now ths second highest-rating entertainment program of 2020 just behind the Married at First Sight – Finale.

Elsewhere 10’s MasterChef and Have You Been Paying Attention? (HYBPA) both posted increased audiences from the previous Monday while Seven’s House Rules was steady. 10 reported that HYBPA had a 47.3% commercial share in 16 to 39s and 41.8% in 25 to 54s for its timeslot.

Australian Story featuring Roy and HG did well for ABC, up 120,000 on the previous episode but Media Watch and Four Corners that followed were well down on recent numbers.

Q+A ranked 23rd with 352,000, down 150k from last week and the lowest result this year. 9-1-1 was 25th with 328,000 just ahead of 27th placed Emergence on 310,000. 7News Presents Framed then had just 265,000 just ahead of How To Stay Married Encore with 248,000.

There was a notable drop in ratings for most news services compared to recent Monday results.
