I canāt remember which thread we were discussing radio stations with animal names like Fox etc. While Iām not generally a fan, my favourite is Coyote 102.5 in Albuquerque. It was featured in a scene of Breaking Bad so I wondered whether it was a real station. So I looked it up and it is, and it still streams. A classic rock format thatās actually pretty good. Having been to New Mexico, coyotes are really part of the landscape there, and you can hear them howling at night in places like Santa Fe and the suburbs of Albuquerque. Great name for a local station. I think if stations use animal names they kind of have to be āalphaā animals, like Bear, Coyote, Eagle etc.

I had to think if there was a Brisbane sports team called The Scorpions! I hate the way their RDS only mentions the artist and not the song title.

Itās extraordinarily annoying that nowhere in this article, nor on their Facebook or Instagram accounts, does it say how to listen to East Gippsland Digital Radio.

I donāt remember seeing any DAB+ spectrum being assigned out thereā¦ and even if there was, ACE Radio and ABC/SBS (and maybe SCA) would probably have their first picks being the sole broadcasters that way, rather than a new player.
