Good to know! I never even knew there was such a thing!
It works in with the vehicle tunerâs âRegionalâ switch setting.
Highland FM also have it, but I assume itâs useless on Highland FM since they only have one transmitter/programme:
Thanks. Yes useless for them. I didnât think there was a separate flag for this in the RDS specification/data other than the receiver looking at the PI code digits. I will have to now stick my head in the RDS specs books. ![]()
Rise 96.5 Brisbane have changed their PTY to Varied.
Theyâve also added Song Title & Artist info to the RT field & recently changed their RT messages.
Canât even remember what it was before. Pop?
It was âCultureâ.
Thereâs no extra flag for this - itâs a display thing in the webserver based on the data in the database.
It seems like the data from FMList must have both of those PI codes listed - 23F5 as main and 22F5 as regional. When a station is transmitting the PI that matches to the regional PI in the dataset, it gets displayed as shown there in the screenshot, with the âmainâ PI shown above just for indication.
It is a bit confusing - but the only thing being transmitted in the RDS is the larger value. I wonder if it does actually regionally switch or itâs just been listed in FMList like that for some reason ![]()
The RDS for 94.5 FBi has resumed.
Triple M Brisbane cycling once every 3 seconds on RT Today. Canât even read it lol
Have updated RDS worksheet with missing or updated info for ABCs at Armidale, Bonalbo (under Lismore) and Tenterfield.
Have updated Breeze 4BRZ for Gloucester (PS now breeze was previously breeze97)
No new RDSs at Glen Innes, Inverell or Armidale though
Thanks for this.
Did you happen to capture the RDS from the ABC outlets for Gloucester?
I did⌠oops, didnât realise they were incomplete too, Iâve now updated those.
Heading west now, Tamworth 92.9 song info not working atm.
Been like this all morning alternating with #1 for music
Went up to Porcupine Lookout in Gunnedah this afternoon.
Came across some new mining RDS (from Tarrawonga Mine)
Have added these two to the RDS worksheet under Gunnedah.
Also this one for Local Radio 2NWR on 100.5 which I canât find listed in the ACMA PDF lists? Any idea where this is from?
My âguessâ is that this is an off-air rebroadcast of 99.1 from an unlicenced (or unlisted) TX from the same mine site as above, but this is just a guess. Similar signal levels.
Was there a 2NWR signal on 101.1 from the same site? I suspect they are using 100.5MHz instead.
Not that I could tell. Only heard Triple J Armidale on 101.1.
Cool. Tarrawonga Mine is licenced with 2NWR on 101.1, perhaps they suffered interference from Triple j on 101.1 & decided to use 100.5 instead.
