others may have been invited but declined to take part or were not available. For a 26 hour telethon it might be difficult to fill with network talent so they’re probably just grateful for anyone who agrees.
Exactly this, especially considering it seems like they struggled to even get the likes of local radio talent (I guess radio is networked these days there isn’t much of it left like the old days) to turn up this year to plug the gaps across the 26 hours.
@TV.Cynic Any possibility of finding out the ratings for the prime time sessions of Telethon for Sat & Sunday nights ??

Sunrise’s Nelson Aspen will be part of this years line-up.
Ricki-Lee Coulter will be part of this year’s line-up, alongside Sam Frost, Johanna Griggs, Dr Harry Cooper and Issa Schultz.
Promo for the 2019 event was posted yesterday on Telethon Facebook page. The 3 minute video includes cameos by former foreign minister Julie Bishop, WA Premier Mark McGowan, two-time Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe and some of his Fremantle teammates (not sure why West Coast Eagles players were not involved), cricketers Mitchell and Shaun Marsh and father Geoff.
It begins next weekend at 6.30pm AWST and runs until 8.30pm AWST the next day
Guy Sebastian and Home and Away actors Lynne McGranger, Tim Franklin, Courtney Miller, Lukas Radovich and Emily Weir will appear at this weekend’s Telethon.
Telethon will be streamed live on the website of The West Australian for people outside WA.
Here is the promo I mentioned earlier this week.
Should be a great event
David Koch, Natalie Barr, Mark Beretta, Sam Mac and Nelson Aspen from Sunrise are in Perth this weekend for the telethon.
As is Michael Usher.
Nelson Aspen and Dr Harry Cooper are at Bendigo Bank kids festival.
The guy in the middle appears to be from Sunrise. Not worth mentioning?
There is a separate live stream of Telethon on 7plus for interstate viewers.
That pretty cool. But couldn’t seven have added it to the seven plus… as a special live feed for interstate viewers?
