Sounds like Seven might’ve finally hit the right note. Not sure if anyone will watch Seven for comedy though.
Plus humour can be very subjective, and the rest of Australia mightn’t laugh at all
He did say this in an earlier post
It must be airing soon as I saw a promo for this the other day. I’m a little worried it will just be slopped somewhere so late in the year and not get noticed.
It is reportedly launching 8.30 Thursday 1 November – directly opposite another Aussie comedy on Ten. Shame.
Thursday nights… what a waste.
So this week? They aren’t giving this show any chance to succeed if they haven’t even promoted as starting in 3 days.
Sorry correction Thursday, 8 November. My mistake, can’t believe the year is nearly over.
I’d highly recommend the show. I think the humour would suit most people. The cast is surprisingly good; with many of the scenes carried by the guest performers like Kat Stewart and Claudia Karvan. There’s a few skits that aren’t as good as others but you’ll probably be still laughing from the previous skit.
Unfortunately Seven have scheduled it in competition with Ten’s How to Stay Married. Seven didn’t hear me
That is a real pity. Would have done well for Seven on Wednesdays at 8:30.
I think they’re trying to get Front Bar audience and extra promotion during Melbourne Cup.
Front Bar hasn’t been on for about a month though. The only audience they will be getting is the Modern Family audience and Home and Away lead out. Would have been better off launching on the Tuesday night out of the Melbourne Cup or Wednesday.
They should have saved it - they may need programs for 7:30pm soon
There’s a Front Bar special this Thursday.
Oh I see. So sad that seven continue to do this to Australian products though. Such a disappointing strategy.
It is. What was wrong with replacing Wanted with Orange is the New Brown on Monday nights?
Then it would be against HYBPA, I suppose, which is a bigger hurdle. What about Tuesday or Sunday?
Really, given they’ve won the year and there’s only five weeks left – they probably could have held it until February and launched it off the back of MKR. Cricket audiences might have presented great cross promotion opportunities and given it the best chance of success.
Haven’t people been incessantly complaining that Seven haven’t bothered to schedule anything decent at this time of year?
