Nek minute: He starts threatening to impose tariffs on countries planning to boycott the LA Olympic games. Lol.
And the World Cup. Because why not?
I wouldn’t be anywhere near the US at this time until Trump is dead and MAGA is reduced to one idiot in a far fetched corn field.
nEk MiNnIt
I would imagine if there is enough time, the IOC might try to move the games to a different location and hold a stripped down version (similar to this year’s Commonwealth Games), in order to still try and get some profits from advertising and television revenue.
If there is a boycott I think it will come from Latin American countries (protesting at the American invasion of Venezuela to capture President Maduro earlier this month) and countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (for tariffs, dropping foreign aid, and withdrawing from the World Health Organisation).
That’s just the start. By 2028 there could be a lot more countries with grievances against America. Scary to keep seeing comparisons of America now to Germany 90 years ago.
The 1936 Berlin Olympics were infamous as the “Nazi Olympics,” used by Adolf Hitler’s regime for propaganda to project an image of a peaceful, tolerant Germany while concealing its racist agenda and antisemitism

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!
Swimming finals in 2032 could be held mid-morning (11am AEST) to align with US primetime. Nine Entertainment would prefer primetime finals to maximise ratings for Australia’s Olympic Broadcaster and the Home Olympic Network for Brisbane 2032
And we are talking about that right now because?
Poll time:

Italian biathlete Rebecca Passler has failed a doping test and was on Monday provisionally suspended from competing at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, leaving the host nation red-faced.
The 24-year-old’s sample showed the presence of letrozole, a drug used to treat breast cancer, the Italian anti-doping agency (NADO Italia) said in a statement. She also tested positive for methanol, becoming the first positive test of an athlete since national teams have started arriving in the northern Italian city for the February 6 start of the Games.
First events kick off tonight/tomorrow morning (mainly Curling)
Time to start setting those alarm clocks

Australian Valentino Guseli has left jaws on the floor after producing a miracle run just hours after being called up to compete in the big air qualifiers at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics.
The 20-year-old only received the call to compete hours before qualification got underway after Canada’s Mark McMorris ruled himself out following a horror training crash.
Despite only being a last minute entrant, Guseli threw everything he had at it and nailed his attempts to secure his place in the final.
Guseli received a score of 73.25 in his first qualification run, the 15th best performance of the field. His second run saw him score 71.50 and had him still outside the required top 12.
It all came down to the third and final run and the Aussie delivered in spades.
He unleashed a switchback 1980 on the slope, which includes five-and-a-half aerial spins, to register a staggering score of 91.50.
It was the second highest score recorded during the qualifiers and saw the Aussie jump into 12th place and secure the final spot in the finals.
What an achievement
Australia’s first medal opportunity will come with the Men’s Snowboarding (Big Air). Valentino Guseli will be one of the 12 competitors to complete.
5:25am AEDT Sunday.
