I agree although let’s be realistic here: Buzz Rothfield is probably to sport what Annette Sharp is to the media and entertainment industry.

Mind you, he’s not the only sports reporter in the media I don’t have a particularly high opinion of: You could also make a very long list of news/predictions that Roy Masters has gotten incorrect over the years!

I’m pretty sure he was doing some NSW cup games on FOX at one point. He would be a good commentator.

There aren’t many former players who have made the transition to play by play calling.
Most end up as sideline or special / expert commentary roles.

Another one … I think Joel Caine has called a few games in the past too, mostly NSW Cup?
