The fact they are still pulling such large share and cume after all this time is amazing. Shuffling them off in Perth now would be akin to 2day letting K&J go in Sydney. It would kill the station and somebody else would pick them and the audience up.

I seem to recall at one point a few years ago. It was also on air in Sydney and Melbourne albeit for a brief time. Again replaced by Nova Throwbacks pretty quick down there too.
For anyone who was curious as to whether weekends on Nova were voice tracked (or maybe that’s just me haha) Mel Tracina just referenced the Project being cancelled.
I don’t know why you think they would be. Ive heard announcers on Nova doing that sort of thing before on weekends.
I also just realised it is not a long weekend in Queensland haha
And no specific reason why why, just a combination of a lot of the consolidation going on in the industry and wondering if Mel ever gets a day off haha

Nova Jamz has appeared on the Radio App today. A competitor to R&B Fridays and to a lesser extent, CADA.
I recon if it was the right team she would go back, they’ve got an established team and been working together for a few years.. not a bunch randoms thrown together.

Jase and Lauren’s Hide and Seek game 2025 starts today. They and Clint are now at their hiding place which has been converted into a decent studio with living spaces.

Perfect timing - off the back of K&J’s Melbourne results, and Nova100’s #1 FM breakfast results.
I know The Fox is doing “The Underdogs” again, but the real underdogs here are Jase & Lauren. What a success story in Australian radio history! And out of all the duos, to be replaced with Australia’s famous duo K&J… and they’ve won!

A move to drive for Swan and Fitzgerald doesn’t necessarily “mean” it’s a clean shift switch.
