Nine Tennis Coverage

If they have the likes of TJ and Todd there, why doesn’t the whole presenting team come from London?

I believe he is doing a match for BBC and a match for ESPN

Gone are the days when nine had a studio set up off the back of one of the outside courts (maybe 18 or 22 from memory) and called the feature games from the venue. Ken Sutcliffe was the host with commentary from Fred Stolle, John Newcombe and Tony Trabert (who would feature on CBS’ coverage of the US open in the 90s). Tim Sheridan would also be over there filing stories.

What time did they finish coverage last night? I was Aussies on Stan so didn’t have a look.

It was still going at 5am on the main channel then there was a switch to 9Gem; not sure when it finished.

Edit - live play started around 10:05pm

Do we know if there is a particular reason why they have been starting in the news studio then moving next door later in the evening?

That’s LIVE at 7:30 on 9Now, just shown delayed on tv

Nine using the BBC/world feed commentary tonight because Woodbridge is calling the DeMinaur match and he’s on the ground in Wimbledon. You really can tell they’re calligg by from venue as they comment on things happening around the precinct as a whole. Adds a lot to the coverage.

But that’s the reason why.

Nine in Melbourne are about to Make another Mistake by Airing a Movie Next Friday Night Instead of Waiting for the Wimbledon Pre Game Show to come on, Can you Tell the Prgorammers in that City to Follow Sydney and Brisbane’s 9gem Schedule?

Sam Stosur in for Todd tonight; currently covers on, expected to clear.

Good news for 9 tonight with DeMinaur’s match first up at 8pm AEST on Court 3. Should rate very well.

Wall to wall sport across the world tonight. Tennis, Wallbies, F1, Euros, Le Tour.

Unfortunately his opponent Lucas Pouille has pulled out of the match that won’t now go ahead. De Minaur through to the 4th round.

Wish Australia’s Alexi Popyrin v the one and only Novak Djokovic match (scheduled for after 1am our time) could be brought forward then!

But that’s good news for Alex, sad for viewers tonight I guess

Possibly not because DeMinaur game was in court 3 and the Popyrin match was scheduled for centre court.

Completely worried that 9Now Won’t even Stream the Pre-Match on Thursday and Friday Night because Nine Inconsistently Scheduled a Movie in Victoria and Chateau in Western Australia. I Need Answers?

Blow for Nine with AdM ruled out.
