How low the ratings can go is the question. Ultimately it may even impact the news and the men’s GF itself.

You would’ve thought the Roosters were leading at half time the way this coverage has been going.

Remarkably how much they’ve written off the knights when they were until moments ago one score. Surely want viewers to keep watching?

Would’ve been amusing had we seen a repeat of Wharfie Time

Watching the coverage all day, I still struggle to believe that May Thompson is nines best caller, his continuous fawning over Mark Nawaqanitawase who is a mighty fine athlete by the way is bewildering, the music that 9 play when a try is scored pulls from the atmosphere at the ground and it needs to be removed. Again the sound mixing which I’ve brought up several times I the last month, needs fixing. Capture the atmosphere being created rather than re creating it.

I reckon the game tonight was a good result for Nine and NRL, a better case scenario. In the predictions thread I went with about 4.2m-ish, wouldn’t be surprised if it goes closer to the AFL’s.

Sydney NRL will surely top Melbourne AFL, should be an inquisition if it doesn’t (TVB reported the latter was 1.26m), given the all-Nsw match-up vs no Vic team respectively.

Not much praise for Nine’s coverage from the Australian

Spider Cam plays havoc in NRL grand final after altered …

As Channel Nine recovers from the Karl Stefanovic debacle, the network used NRL grand final day as a platform to plug their new Today Show panel …Read more

The contest was just five minutes old when a clearing kick from Roosters pivot Daly Cherry-Evans made contact with Spider Cam zipping overhead, impeding the path of the ball.

The Spider Cam calamity summed up Nine’s coverage which was largely uninspiring and as flat as the NRL’s pre-game entertainment.

Less than an hour before the Roosters-Knights grand final, viewers were treated to an embarrassing plug for new Today Show duo Tom Steinfort and Sylvia Jeffreys.

The Jeffreys-Steinfort segment then transitioned to another shameless plug, this time with Australian sprint star Lachlan Kennedy talking to host James Bracey about his blistering silver medal run at the Commonwealth Games in July.

And plenty more criticism though Channel 9 reporter Bronte Gildea was singled out for praise as “a breath of fresh air and she has a promising future”.

Is Nine doing anything for the RLWC given Seven has the rights
Will we see 100% Footy continue or is it limited to WWOS on Sundays?

There is no listing for 100% Footy in the schedule next Monday, so I think it’s finished for the year.
