Perhaps Weekend Overnights, either giving Sydney a local show, or replacing Pat Panetta altogether.
Imagine if he did 3 nights and then Phil did 4. That’d be great.
It really is silly that there’s a local overnight show on the 9 talk network. Should be one networked show.
Also - why doesn’t 9 simulcast Today on NTS. They’ve never really invested anything in NTS digital. Missed opportunity in my view.

Most likely to be Luke Bona. That said, if it is, he would need to shake off the style of show that The Nightshift was. A no holes barred style overnight talk show to a more mainstream style.

Surely its Luke Bona into 2GB, one of his old stamping grounds. I’d suggest Luke B will be something of a floater at the house of GB (a bit like their other Luke G). 2GB have been badly short of decent fill-in talent when the main team is on break. Last summer they even had to use their Tech guy and the Drive car guy and both were boring as batsh1t hosting a full shift. Possibly Mr Bona will start on weekend overnights to relieve us Sydney siders from the excruciating dullness of Pat Panetta piped up from MEL weekends. Amen to that.

Just announced by Ben Fordham that Luke Bona is joining 2GB following his departure from MMM. Luke joined Ben in the studio this morning to confirm the news. Luke will be doing “helping out across the day” … ie floater of sorts as i suspected.

Brilliant, and a no brainer. Luke’s show was always out of place on Triple M. He deserves a better timeslot.
I’d actually give Luke 2GB Weekends again and have the other Luke (Grant) be the floater.

I caught Luke Bona’s first “Bona Report” this morning with Phil O’Neil between 4-5am. Really good session and nice chemistry between them. Seems it will be weekly each Thursday where they explore a current news topic in depth. I must say Phil O continues to impress me greatly as a talk host. Even Ben Fordham when he started on air this morning commented how many positive sms comments there were for Phil. I believe 2GB has bigger plans for Mr O’Neil than overnights. I reckon big pressure on Mornings for 2GB. Just not sure if Levy will work out especially with Chris Smith on 2SM mornings and way more professional. Watch this space.

I find the segments he has at the final hour of his show which are not political I find the segments not very interesting and better suited to the afternoon show.

SMC really needs to get another gig on FM radio. She’s made for it.
Jo Stanley left the show a long time ago. Luke Hines has been the host for the last while.

She’s been a great guest on 3AW for a number of shows. I’d rather she stays off FM and 3AW offer her a summer fill-in gig one day. She’d be good on Afternoons.
