Hello, what’s this?

 ![IMG_8814](https://mediaspy-org-s3.s3.dualstack.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/original/4X/3/8/a/38a6bdf51fbe8faf016b4ee0a3f66a03d60193f1.jpeg)

I searched “Channel 9 logo history” on YouTube, and this was the first result.

[![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/SgvWpdYhyqU/maxresdefault.jpg "Nine Network Australia Logo History (#35)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgvWpdYhyqU)

And 27 seconds in:

My theory is that they asked generative AI to look through Channel 9 videos on YouTube and try and make something like the [ITV 70th anniversary ident](https://youtu.be/zOV35NvEM0I), and instead it spat out that hyperactive, unfocused mess.

Edit: They also cribbed from ~~Australian Television Archive~~ the logo history video above, which cribbed from Australian Television Archive at the 15:13 mark ([spotted by Matt Fulton on Bluesky](https://bsky.app/profile/mattfulton.bsky.social/post/3muoyu25yvs2s)).
