Nine News Local

Not that I know of. But when she does reporter and former Win News presenter Natassia Apolloni might fill-in.

I’m hoping for Danielle Post.

Danielle would be good. She’s familiar to Canberra viewers.

Trove has this (and basically all editions of The Canberra Times up until the end of 1995) in their online archives.

That particular article was published on September 20, 1993. Here’s the link to the full article!

NAtassia reports for 9 News Illawarra I believe nowadays, so I doubt she’d travel to Sydney to present bulletins when they already have so many other people available to fill in.

Nine News Canberra, where the NSW Budget is reported in greater depth and is higher in the rundown than the ACT Budget was.

The SNSW edition of 9 News goes out to about 1.4m people - only about 400k of those are in the ACT. So…

A bulletin named Nine News Canberra should be providing coverage of the ACT Budget to the same or greater lengths as the NSW Budget.

(As I’d think everyone here would know by now) there isn’t a single southern NSW edition of 9News; it’s split with local segments and branded for each sub-area, e.g. 9News Canberra, so don’t get upset at viewers being disappointed that the product doesn’t live up to what’s on the wrapper.

And all it would take would be to extend the local window and bring it earlier. Gosh, it would even be possible to start with the local window! You could trick it so that the other windows actually include one or two national stories that are dropped in the Canberra version to make up the minutes. All very doable.

It does take planning, but when the competition, both ABC and WIN, have half an hour to play with they will trump on budget day.

Just curious why is it taking so much longer to get the QLD bulletins up and running? NSW and Victoria have been going a few months by now?

In short, it was reported that the new studio set-up at Mt Coot-tha was delayed because asbestos was discovered in the building.

Question: Which studio did ACA use from 2013-14, did they use the same studio as they are now (studio 23?), or a different one? If a different one, would it have been possible for them to bring that ACA set out of mothballs and use it for the NSW regional bulletins?

ACA had it’s main set in Studio 22 back in 2013-14, although occasionally (most notably on Thursday nights during the NRL season, to accommodate for The NRL Footy Show) it would use the same set that the Southern NSW/ACT bulletins are using now as their “alternative” set.

[Brisbane’s] new set and automation launches July 22.
[/quote] This information rules out any chance of Nine News Regional receiving the current Nine News wooden-set as the dates won’t match.

BTW, it seems the ‘ACA’ style sets, as in in NSW and VIC, are the branding for Nine’s regional bulletins.
