Nine News Presenters and Reporters

I actually did not know he was that old. Gives me faith that I can work until 75 too! Probably won’t have a choice lol so thanks Pete your an inspiration!

does anyone really believe that TJ decided he didn’t really want to do it? And that he’d only come to that decision a year ago? It’s all he’s wanted for decades!

I think Nine owning 3AW things have changed. Probably enjoys radio more who knows. Same with PK on Arvo Briefing. Took the radio offer and dumped her TV gig.

Perhaps TV isn’t what it once was. I think Radio is more lucrative on the dollars front isn’t it?

I don’t think either is that lucrative anymore.

Both have suffered against streaming, the internet and pay TV.

Today marks 20 years for Melissa Downes at Nine, a little montage at the end of tonight’s bulletin.

Nine News Sydney reporter Liz Daniels wore a white blouse while covering today’s strike protests by teachers.

The top radio slots are still lucrative as they are personality driven.

Natalia Cooper made her first appearance on Nine News Perth last night since returning home, according to this article.

She contributed a report on Perth’s hot weather and presented the weather report on location. She was welcomed back to Perth by Thommo. I guess none of our Perth contributors noticed because they’re all caught up in the cult of Rick and Sue.

Wait, there are other news bulletins in Perth?

Natalia was also a member of the cult before going to Sydney. Although most who work at STW end up at TVW at some point. Everyone wants to work with the best

Happy to see Natalia back in Perth. It should be Michael and Natalia at 6.

Natalia can easily hold the bulletin on her own but there is no stopping Rick and Sue.

I was never a fan of Natalia in Perth the first time around.

Regarding Alicia’s eventual appointment as 9News Melbourne’s main anchor - will that make her the first permanent solo female presenter of a 9News weekday bulletin? (Not including regionals)

Closest I can think of is Perth - they had 2 female co-presenters in late 00s ? with Dixie Marshall and Sonia Vinci.

No, that’d be Kate Collins in 2011.

Yep, But it was more like the mid-00s rather than late-00s.

Natalia Cooper on Nine takes you back to a time of terrible news sets, constant lineup changes and poor ownership under Sunraysia and WIN.

Thank goodness that era is over. It was almost like they both decided TVW being so far ahead meant why bother trying. The employees did their best but without much in the way of money and resources they didn’t stand a chance.

Nine buying STW was the best thing that could have happened. They invested much needed money in to it and the output these days is brilliant. It won’t make much difference while Rick and Sue are around but at least Nine are giving it a go. It may pay off in the future.
