Nine News Presenters and Reporters

Isn’t that pretty much every commercial network here (OK, 10 to a lesser extent)?

I think Nine and Seven would actually spend millions promoting their news services (especially in the big ticket markets of Sydney and Melbourne), with the others spending considerably less but still some - the public broadcasters of course likely to focus most of their news promotional efforts on their own TV & radio networks.

Up until relatively recently, the promotional efforts of most regional news services rivaled Ten’s!

Jayne Azzopardi and Sylvia Jeffreys appeared on Today Extra this morning.

No, but its staff do:

(Edit: I realise you already made this point but I’m still staggered at how Uhlmann continues to be so obtuse)

Madeline took over from Justine in early February when Justine went on holidays.
Justine returned from holidays at the end of February and continues to be a reporter, she removed reference to being 9 news weather presenter from her Twitter 2 or 3 weeks ago.

At the risk of being hammered by SydneyCityTV, I think Mark’s presenting skills have improved a lot. Much more natural and less unnecessary pauses.

Being Peter Hitchener is 74 years old, should he not be self-isolating?

Where’s Peter Overton?

Good question. I’d think that he is either:

  • only presenting the Late News tonight, or
  • looking after his two daughters at home.

It is not mandatory, only advised for social activities. If he wants to and is able to work, he can.

Also only if he’s got other underlying illness(es)

  • Maybe he’s sick. Bad Indian food last night?
  • His mother’s birthday, and they’re having a dinner party via Zoom?
  • Could have had car troubles and not wanted to get in an Uber?

Like it could be anything, no conspiracy, people have days off.
