Brisbane old news studio - closer from Friday and before
Temp studio as seen on weekend
Canât notice any difference, would only know if youâd watched the video on Facebook.
You can see the plasma on the right hand side is squished in closer to the desk than it otherwise would be, indicating the studio is much smaller. Also I think the floor is a different colour.
The âaverageâ viewer would have to be in a state of comatose to not notice some of these errors.
I think itâs a fair point, though. I see mistakes on 7 all the time, especially Sunrise. Donât know whatâs happened to that show but mistakes galore lately.
Seven News Sydneyâs new weather promo:
âTo get Sydneyâs most accurate weather, you need televisionâs most qualified meteorologist. David Brown doesnât worry about whoâs wearing what, but he forecasts your weather⌠Sydneyâs only comprehensive weather forecast, seven days a week, every night of the year, is on Seven âŚâ.
Brownie working 365 days straight when
It doesnât say anything about Brown doing the weather EVERY night, just the weather is on Seven News every night.
Just like David Brown is Sydneyâs only news meteorologistâŚ
Incoming lawsuit from Graham Creed in 3âŚ2âŚ1!
Studio 2 is much bigger. Plasma was pushed in as I would assume there was no weather presenter tonight.
100% tomorrowâs isnât even a possibility for the new set. New control room and studio are being built for QTQ. Months away.
Adelaide or Brisbane first?
Is graham actually a meteorologist? We worked at the BOM, but does that maketh?
His title at the Weather Channel was âBroadcast Meteorologistâ, now at the ABC heâs called a âWeather Specialistâ, whatever that means
Speaking of Graham Creed, I believe he, alongside David Brown and Magdalena Roze are the only weather presenters that doesnât use an autocue.
Oh wait, what about that clown from TEN? Does he ever use an autocue?
EDIT - Actually, some other people like Gavin Morris from NBN, Garry Youngberry from QTQ and former BTQ weather presenter John Schluter also donât use the autocue IIRC.
In any case, canât we all agree that Nine News Sydney could do with a qualified meteorologist (or at the very least, a presenter who displays a bit more knowledge about the weather) as their main weather presenter?
Donât get me wrong, the weather segment on Nine News Sydney certainly isnât as bad as it is on Ten Eyewitness News: First At Five in the Sydney market but when you consider that Seven News Sydney has David Brown while Nine/NBN News in Regional NSW/ACT gets Gavin Morris, you do have to wonder if Amber Sherlock and Belinda Russell are really the two best weather presenters for the #1 rating 6pm news bulletin in Australiaâs largest city.
Iâm fairly certain he is not a meteorologist, just a long-time weather presenter.
Michael Shultz in Perth doesnt use an autocue either.
The new studio is definitely more cramped - check right hand corner of image
Video of first night in temp studio
I donât believe Garry is a meteorologist just passionate about the weather.
