What’s the problem with that? The brand is 10, online or on the air. Pretty soon it’ll be symbiotic, and you won’t need to differentiate that they have an app, it’ll be known.
It’s a tag line, quite clearly. It’s not the name, despite some protestations here.
I agree that this is different to this change from Nine though which I find a little bizarre.
Given what’s happening with NBN News, I wonder how much longer Nine can justify the current set up with the Gold Coast News. Does the expense justify the big ratings? Are there any savings to be made? I notice many nights (like Monday) there is no sport presenter being used. The weather presenter now presents both GC and Brisbane reports.
9News will present a special live broadcast this Wednesday, June 10, as Australia gathers to say a final farewell to the late AFL legend, Neale Daniher.
The State Funeral will be broadcast live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with dedicated coverage hosted by 9News presenters Tom Steinfort and Alicia Loxley, alongside sports presenter Tony Jones. Coverage will commence at 12.00pm AEST on Channel 9 in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, and will stream live and free nationwide on a designated 9Now pop-up channel, ahead of the official, commercial-free service at 1.00pm AEST.
Neale Daniher was a true champion of the game, but it was off the field where he became an Australian hero. Following his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease, he courageously turned his personal battle into a public crusade, inspiring the entire country to stand together and take on “The Beast.” His unwavering determination through FightMND raised millions for vital research and fundamentally changed the landscape of the disease, proving that one person can shift the course of history.
Now, it is time for the nation to come together to celebrate his extraordinary life and enduring legacy.
The live 9News special broadcast will capture every poignant moment of the service at the MCG, featuring personal tributes from family, football legends, and those who stood alongside him throughout his historic fight.
All Australians can join in honouring a man who taught us how to fight with grace, humour, and fierce courage by tuning into the live coverage this Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
