Shown on 7 in Sydney and Melbourne; not on 10 live but first in the afternoon news.
Glad to see headlines reintroduced to the bulletin.
There has been no change to the Melbourne bulletin.
Brisbane 4pm had the headlines.
Is this a mock??
Not enough banners and visual pollution. I can see some spare gaps there.
No, it’s not a mock! Was on tonight’s bulletin
Excuse some fantasising here, just trying to imagine how good 9News Gold Coast could look! Obviously with some modification for the studio set up. But even a bigger screen with a better sited live shot could greatly improve the current claustrophobic look. (Tell ‘em they’re dreamin’)

Nine Perth Presents: Christmas in WA hosted by Tracy Vo and Natalia Cooper
Sunday 1 December 5:30 pm Perth
The specials – on December 1, 8 and 15 at 5.30pm – will be followed by a one-hour prime-time special on Friday, December 20, at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Hosted by Nine Perth’s Tracy Vo and Natalia Cooper, this locally produced series will explore the heart and soul of Christmas celebrations in Western Australia, highlighting the unique food, activities and summer events of the season, alongside savvy gift ideas, gardening, and holiday travel spots that make this time of the year so special.
Each episode will feature segments fronted by well-known WA personalities including renowned chef and restaurateur Stuart Laws (Our State On A Plate), Christina Morrissy and Carmen Braidwood (Destination WA), Kelly Haywood (9News Perth) as well as breakfast radio hosts Pete Curulli and Kate Mac. Numerous Nine network personalities will also pop by to deliver festive messages and Christmas cheer.
Plus, this series welcomes local entertainer, singer, radio and TV personality Tod Johnston back to our screens.
Co-host Natalia Cooper said: “We’re excited to bring this series back for a second year, as nothing beats a Perth Christmas. From the stunning beaches to the festive food, there’s so much to love about Christmas in the West.”
Co-host Tracy Vo agreed, saying: “WA truly shines during the festive season, and this series is the perfect platform to highlight the unique experiences we offer. From local produce to beachside celebrations, there’s always something happening here in WA that makes it one to remember.”
In the festive season premiere, join Kelly Haywood and her family as they share a heartwarming holiday moment with endangered koalas at Caversham Wildlife Park, while Kate Mac takes us behind the scenes to witness the incredible dedication of the animal keepers.
Stuart Laws teams up with famous businessman Tony Galati to show how the humble spud can elevate your Christmas lunch, without breaking the bank, and Tod Johnston uncovers the perfect West Aussie Christmas gift, celebrating 35 years of WA craftsmanship in harvesting homegrown perfect pearls at Elizabeth Quay.
With plenty of sun, sand and spirit, Nine Perth Presents: Christmas in WA is the ultimate celebration of everything that makes Christmas in the West simply the best.
Nine Perth Presents: Christmas in WA is produced for the 9Network with support from Guru Productions.
Big “news” about News from Nine’s 2024 ratings report:
Huge win for Nine. What a turnaround. Next year will definitely be another interesting one.
Fantastic result for Nine which I believe is a combination of a few things, including, among others: introducing Tipping Point Australia to replace the outdated Hot Seat (speaking of which, it is twelve months ago today since the last “new” episode of HS aired), refreshing its Melbourne bulletin with a double header which debuted on the opening day of the Australian Open (which this year began on a Sunday) and refreshing its on-air graphics (I have always maintained that the 2020-23 graphics were a downgrade to the 2016-19 graphics).
Add on the fortune telling and the comedy segment on 7News and you might have a winner.

9News
9News , presented by the state’s leading and longest serving co-presenters, Andrew Lofthouse and Melissa Downes, reinforced its position as the most trusted and dominant local news bulletin, winning the 2024 ratings year. 9News Monday to Friday 6.00pm-7.00pm topped the ratings for 37 weeks out of the 40-week calendar.
In the Sunday to Saturday 6.00pm to 7.00pm timeslot, which is presented by Mia Glover on weekends, the combined bulletins achieved a dominant 34 weeks out of the 40-week period.
9News 4.00pm
Adding to the stellar results, 9News 4.00pm, presented by Aislin Kriukelis and Alison Ariotti, also achieved significant success, winning every survey week it was on air, proving its competitive strength in the market.
9News Gold Coast*
9News Gold Coast , presented by Paul Taylor and Eva Milic, secured its position as the city’s premier and most trusted local news service with an undefeated performance in the ratings - dominating every week of the OzTAM survey period. This remarkable success resulted in a Total People Share of 55.2%.

IIRC, they only lost one week after the second week of the ratings season. Nevertheless, I believe this is their best ratings season since 2017 (when they lost only two weeks).
Aren’t they the only news service now
