Armored jellyfish?

Feel like this bulletin is a pastiche.

BTS of the Gold Coast bulletin, including the NBN News logo hanging from the roof in the studio.

What a peculiar thing to have on that set.

I reckon it was probably the only thing they had on hand to stop that light reflecting on the standing presentation screen.

Where do they switch the GC news from

Brisbane

I’m guessing the GC switchers then do the NBN News switching straight after.

Did anyone record 9 morning news this morning. Hasn’t been uploaded onto 9Now

Most disappointing non-green screen news set in Australia.

Nine seem to have a habit of giving the Gold Coast a halfway decent set then ruining it with lazy blue light boxes some years later during an “upgrade”. Happened back with the post-NNN set too (not my caps, 2013 vs 2016)

Well it’s a much smaller market than the other metros, so I can see why they’ve gone for a cheaper set.

Plus they can’t operate a Gold Coast specific ad window, so they wouldn’t make as money out of it as they might otherwise.

And it is still the best “local” news bulletin in Australia by a long way.

A cheaper set is ok, less money for upgrades is ok.

The execution of these upgrades, not so much.

What’s the error?

Headline bed playing and no sting during the outro.

Again, does not need any more Rolling Coverage, or a Special. Let the people in charge solve it, not the news. I predict they will use more of the ‘city under attack’ method of reporting in this special.

As I have said before, they should at least think of using this:

Wherever’s there’s a Labo(u)r a government in place, the corporate media will manufacture a narrative about a ‘crime crisis’. Just as what has happened in New Zealand.
