A different look for the Gold Coast bulletin tonight. There was a rare standing opening that continued up to the first ad break with multiple stories and graphics background in front of the LCD used for sports presentation. Seemed to work quite well. Made the studio seem bigger.
Here’s hoping that Nine go for a standardised look for their regional bulletins eventually, especially with Tasmania launching soon. No consistency between them all whatsoever.
No. @EntertainingAus must of been wrong as there is no relaunch for television or radio at all.
TBH I am thinking that there will be a news relaunch either before or after the 2024 Olympics. Usually networks rebrand news at that time, for example:
Seven News 2004 Relaunch (after Olympics 2004)
Nine News 2012 Relaunch (before Olympics 2012)
Today 2012 Relaunch (before Olympics 2012)
Seven News 2016 Relaunch (before Olympics 2016)
Seven News 2022 Relaunch (after Olympics 2022)
Hopefully for news and station branding however I think it will only be the former. The station branding will most likely continue forever.
That was what I have suspected all along. I believe that given the last update was in January 2020 I believe it’s too soon to be updating graphics just yet and I am under an impression that any changes will most likely take place early next year sometime but that’s my guess.
