Surprisingly, I actually agree.
The temporary set currently being used in Studio 22 is probably closer to the type of thing Nine News Sydney should’ve adopted as a permanent fulltime set in 2017.

Ah yes, the port of Canberra. Love to take a trip out along the coast and swim at the beach.
Gee Lake Burley Griffin looks ALOT different these days…
Complete with Gold Coast backdrop too.
Nine Brisbane just loves promos with piles of cash. yet another one for tonight
Previously
Or how about some gold
Gosh. They’ve got an hour to fill, and they can’t introduce the presenters. And what’s with the pointless wide shot with so much white?
Nine Gold Coast News opened tonight with breaking news of what turned out to be a fatal shark attack at Coolangatta. The report included vision from the scene.
Seven News also opened with breaking news but it was of the return of a lost dog so it was all smiles on that bulletin.
The shark attack was reported after the first ad break.
By 6pm the story opened both bulletins in Brisbane - note Seven’s “exclusive” claim.
Would that be referring to the footage, not the actual story?
Melbourne’s bulletin had no exclusive marking on that footage, could be a marking error from Brisbane
Somehow Nine’s managed to make it to the scene - but Seven’s still in their newsroom
Yes in this case it looks like it was exclusive footage. And by exclusive I mean the person who filmed it on their phone, also had someone standing next to them filming on their phone providing near identical vision to Nine. In other words, it isn’t exclusive.
Hold on - 60s or 50s???
Has something changed with the in-studio cameras? The quality looks terrible.
