Did the 6pm bulletin air? Looks like ratings will drop tonight, seeing from some of the comments
Nope, nothing Adelaide, all Melbourneās 9 News. There was a super that appeared at about 6:20 that said 9 News Adelaide will not air tonight due to technical issues.
Wow. Could this be due to an attack like we saw last year, or just some major issues? Hopefully other cities arenāt effected
So did Melbourne News air 2 times in a row?
They got part way through Adelaideās Nine News at 5 and then cut to Hello SA as filler programming and then went to Melbourneās Nine News at 6pm.
Mosart strikes again!
Was weather a combined VIC/SA weather or Melbourne/VIC only?
It was a melbourne bulletin.
Wouldnāt have picked Melbourneā¦Eek
Why eek? They couldāve gone for the sensationalised drivel that is the Qld bulletin
Huh? Closest capital city to Adelaide + AFL stories rather than NRLā¦ no brainer
Yeahā¦
They shouldāve done a local late news.
Wouldnāt have made a difference and woulda have meant keeping all the crews back etc. Plus for all we know the technical issues might not be fixed yet.
When your ONLY selling point for the last two years has been to criticise your competitorsā Melbourne links, surely Melbourne is the one market you donāt take? There were other options.
In these situations sometimes you kinda just have to go with what you can go with, even if it (inadvertently) means you have to bite your own words.
If daylight savings was still in place they couldāve had Perth present the bulletin live.
So what do you propose? They run a test pattern?
Adeladians arenāt going to want Sydney news any more then they would want in Melbourne. They are even less relevant due to the NRL code and not AFL being the primary one.
I think in the instance of tech issues, taking Melbourne was the right call
