Maybe the view wasn’t good at their North Sydney backdrop due to wild weather
They do use a live shot, it is normally the rooftop shot from North Sydney.
I did notice yesterday they started with the North Sydney shot, but switched in the first ad break when it was basically solid grey. Guess it must be the same today with all the rain about.
Do they? I thought it was that faux shot of the Opera House?
The faux shot went away a while ago, not exactly sure when though.
The sport preview in Melbourne was done from the left side screen Can you make up your mind GTV?
Does it matter? They’re mixing it up to keep it looking fresh.
It’s one of the only 2 things I don’t like about the presentation of the bulletin. The other thing is the zoomed in backdrop.

Nine running promos for what looks like a positive story on driverless cars after last week’s hit job on Tesla on 60 Minutes.
I don’t understand why you’re jumping on him? I take your point but Jack’s entitled to his opinion. I thought this was a media discussion forum, not a ‘let’s praise Channel 9 and ban all criticism forum’.
I didn’t jump on him at all.
It just rubs me up the wrong way. Whenever Jack makes an observation or gives his opinion, someone (usually your good self) tells him to, basically, shut up. And then everyone else likes the comment. You might think that’s a good thing but I see it as almost like bullying.
When some members make the same persistent comments every week, it becomes tiresome.
So does jumping on people for making said comments, but what do I know? I don’t like this in-group/out-group thing some of you are trying to create. Why can’t we all just get along?
Or at least being a bit more civil.
And yes, whilst some members might make similar comments from time to time, seeing the same people jump on them all the time is even more tiresome.
I’ll say it again. I didn’t jump at him. And clearly 16 other members agree.
Posting the same thing each week doesn’t generate good conversation.
I didn’t shut him down either. In fact, I gave him a possible plausible reason as to why 9 are doing it.
