Nine News Content and Appearance (2020-Feb 2025)

Could they spare 4 more characters to call it “Breaking News” …

They had to cut costs due to the public holiday surcharges. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Always useful to include an image of a cow for clarification purposes. However the Courier Mail reported the animal was a bull.

Not the usual bull from Nine. :stuck_out_tongue:

They’re certainly testing our patience, and most of us on MS don’t even live in QLD!

Eagle eyed! Yes it looks like QLD has the new desk now. The edges match the new shape.

Looks like they’ve forgotten to turn some of the set lights on.
Either way that new desk is much better.

Now it’s Perth & ADL to receive their new desk soon.

And hopefully Gold Coast can fit the old QLD desk in

It’s such a waste of money. What does it achieve? They don’t even use the screen.

Two errors within a few minutes tonight on 9 News Qld.
OTS/headline behind Andrew Lofthouse said, “Athlete’s Speak Out”… incorrect use of the apostrophe.
In the next story Melissa Downes said someone was “out on custody”… she either means “on bail” or “of custody.”

Nine just aired a different local late news update in Melbourne.
The super had “Late News”. Usually it says something like “Update”.
Had no reference to the late news bulletin otherwise.

That’s the one. Could they be doing it live (or close to live)?

@TV.Cynic Would you happen to have 6pm caps of the updated desk in QLD?
