Unfortunately I don’t have any video on hand at the moment, but I seem to recall Nine News Sydney using “Exclusive is a Nine Letter Word” as their tagline back in 2009.

This is probably where the idea for the latest promo/tagline came from.

Instead of their exclusives, I think I would’ve liked Nine News Sydney to promote the one major asset of their news team which Seven and Ten unfortunately can’t match anymore: Experience.

But of course, Experience is (quite ironically) a Ten letter word! :wink:

Why do they think putting Cocaine Cassie’s is such a major story that they include it in their promo? They had so many stories on Cassie they could’ve used (if they had to really), yet they chose to put in the story of her past, like people actually care.

What were they trying to make exclusive? Australia has sex workers, and some take drugs from time to time? There are very few people who haven’t dilly dallied in drugs, so who is this exclusive for?

This is probably one reason why so many youngsters are disenfranchised with the media because of non-news like this. This is probably more to do with the story itself, not the promo to be honest.
