2/3rds rule gone, they have similar content mixes, but Fairfax can now crack into TV and 9 can bolster regional coverage. TV newsrooms might be pulling out the papers less often in the morning meeting, but the things you find with town hall coverage can be amazing. Just a first blush. ---

Overton crossing to Ross Greenwood in the 2GB studio during the news tonight. Greenwood usually does such news crosses from the rooftop of the building that houses 2GB in Saunders St Pyrmont. ---

Nine had a win in the Brisbane ratings on Thursday. It may have been due to their story on details of Schapelle Corby’s return to Australia. The story was [labelled BS](https://forums.mediaspy.org/t/nine-news-content-and-appearance/67/6321?u=tv.cynic) by Schapelle and her sister on social media but it was enought to give Nine content for another story.
