So what are Nine airing in primetime tonight with the Cricket already over?

Mark Nicholas said The Block would be at 7.30pm tonight. I think it will be the reveal episode.

So dumb. People are expecting it tomorrow

Becasue of the early end to the cricket, The Tuesday episode of The Block was shown tonight. Wednesday’s ep will be seen tomorrow and RBT will be shown on Wednesday with following programs on that night scheduled 10 minutes earlier than previous advice.

Mark Nicholas said The Block would be at 7.30pm tonight. I think it will be the reveal episode.[/quote]That’s strange. I thought with the cricket finishing early, Nine might have just aired some filler content and a movie for the night and saved the Block etc. till the following night.

###Christmas with The Australian Women’s Weekly

Sunday 20 November at 7.00pm

Lisa Wilkinson and a host of familiar faces get together to show you how to make Christmas extra special this year on Channel Nine’s Christmas with The Australian Women’s Weekly, Sunday, November 20, at 7.00pm.

World-class chef Luke Mangan is joined by Chyka Keebaugh from The Real Housewives of Melbourne to cook up a Christmas kingfish dish with salsa dressing. Plus Chyka shows us how to style a Christmas table for the Australian summer.

Julie Goodwin gives a masterclass at her cooking school, making an amazing maple sherry glazed ham a white chocolate and caramel Christmas wreath and Queen of the Barossa Maggie Beer prepares an amazing pork loin and her famous Christmas pudding.

Kat Hoyos (Here Come the Habibs) and Sam McClymont, of the country trio The McClymonts, take time out of their busy schedules to look at some crafty ideas for the whole family. Sam also goes behind the scenes on the Weekly’s Christmas fashion shoot to find out what’s hot for the festive season.

Landscaper Nigel Ruck gets competitive with Ben and Andy (The Block), building a combination chalkboard and eating table for the kids.

Pop heart-throb Taylor Henderson joins a group of young high school students on a special project that shows the importance of generosity at Christmas time.

The Weekly’s Xanthe Roberts, with the help of Ainsley Melham (Aladdin the Musical), has a show-stopping dessert guaranteed to make your Christmas guests beg for a second helping: a stunning tiramisu ice cream cake.

And tech expert Charlie Brown talks about the “do’s” and “don’ts” of online Christmas shopping.

No Lauren Phillips this year to make Christmas decorations from ice cream sticks? Outraged! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But seriously, it’s a pity that Gogglebox has finished up for the year because I think their review of it (remembering the one they did of an Easter with The AWW special last year, I can’t look at those specials the same way again!) would be brilliant TV!

Well, I definitely won’t be watching now. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

###Matt and Kim to the Rescue

LISA WILKINSON, SHANE CRAWFORD AND ADAM GILCHRIST JOIN MATT AND KIM’S NEXT RENOVATION RESCUE

Wednesday 16 November at 7.30pm

Australia fell in love with them when they took on The Block Sky High in 2013 and returned to The Block Triple Threat last year. Now Matt and Kim are back with another breathtaking renovation special: Matt and Kim to the Rescue next Wednesday, November 16, at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.

In this emotionally charged one-hour special hosted by Lisa Wilkinson from TODAY, a community will unite to embark on Matt and Kim’s most ambitious renovation to date. It’s a story of generosity, love and commitment by an amazing team of volunteers.

And this time the big stars will dig in to lend a big hand.

Shane Crawford from The AFL Footy Show, cricket legend Adam Gilchrist and Mark LeCras from the West Coast Eagles will join Matt and Kim and their army of tradies, businesses and local heroes to deliver an incredible full home makeover in just four days. It’s a renovation full of surprises which will dramatically change the lives of the HoyPoy family in Western Australia.

Sallie HoyPoy, a young mother of four girls, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite intensive treatment including a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer has spread to her bones and is at stage 4.

Just before Christmas last year, her 15-year-old daughter Zoe was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer which has spread to her ovaries and colon.

The HoyPoys’ dated and dark 1970s home has taken a back seat to the family’s health concerns, and whilst husband Ryan has done his best to maintain the home, it’s definitely in need of some serious love to accommodate their growing family: Brianna (13), Lacey (9), Imogen (7) and Zoe.

Matt said: “The story of the HoyPoys is simply heartbreaking. But through all of their pain is an amazing family unit that Australia will fall in love with. Strong, athletic, positive and ultimately resilient.

“We are honoured to help the HoyPoy family, but we couldn’t have done this without the amazing generosity of the community. Thank you to all involved. The end result is just breathtaking.”

Is this nationwide, or WA only?

National.
They often do a show like this in the week after The Block ends.

###Murder in Melbourne

Sunday 13 November at 9.30pm

Murder in Melbourne, a documentary that looks at three infamous murders in the city, goes to air this Sunday night at 9.30pm on Channel Nine.

Narrated by Nine News reporter Alexis Daish, this incredibly moving program investigates failings in Victoria’s parole system, which could be said to be responsible for two of the murders.

The program opens with the botched robbery and killing of Dublin-born jeweller Dermot O’Toole in July 2013. We see poignant interviews with his wife and family.

David Greene was attacked while managing a hostel in Melbourne one year earlier. The program documents the plight of his parents, Aidan and Catherine, who on hearing of his attack flew to Melbourne, only to have to sanction his life-support being switched off 12 days later. They then had to face David’s killer in court.

The most infamous Melbourne murder in recent history is of course that of Jill Meagher. Jill’s death became one of the highest profile murder cases in Australia’s history, not just because of its brutality, but because her killer, Adrian Bayley, a convicted rapist, was out on parole at the time.

Convicted armed robber Gavin Perry was also on parole. Perry was a highly dangerous career criminal and quickly went on a spree of armed robberies, which eventually led to the death of Dermot O’Toole.

This is an engrossing and touching portrait of ordinary families coping with devastating loss and the difficult and heartbreaking journey to get justice for their loved ones.

Why? Are they trying to do a spin-off series?

They did a similar special last year which I think aired the night after the 2015 Grand Finale of The Block (and also on the first night of Nine HD, no less): Alisa & Lysandra to the Rescue.

WA has already seen it - I think it aired the night of the NRL Grand Final here IIRC
