Make it easier to sell Australian dramas overseas?
Although I prefer the less is more concept I donât think the general audience in Australia does. Look at reality shows. They like multiple episodes. And look at previous shows that were huge successes in Australia; All Saints, Blue Heelers, Country Practice, McLeods Daughters, Always Greener and even Secret Life of Us. They all had more episodes and were huge successes. I just wonder if Australia wanted viewers to like short run series but it hasnât really translated into success here in Australia.
That was probably true about 5 years ago when they did it but I think their first thought should be what will Australian audiences like.
Simple. They are Risk-averse.
Shorter runs means they donât end up with a lot of costly drama to burn off in their schedule, if it doesnât rate.
Interesting that Stan doesnât have the sequel but now itâs airing on Nine. Makes me wonder if thereâs going to be a FTA airing of Infinity War soon?
Schedule above updated.
Are they trying to get rid of new Amsterdam before the Easter non ratings ?
So, Nine look to have given up on airing Storm games on main channel in Melbourne in prime time, as they did every time last year? Shame for loyal fans.
But it is on âŽâŽâŽGem and is streamed in HD on âŽâŽâŽ9Now, so itâs not as if Nine in Melbourne is ignoring it.
Correct me if Iâm wrong on this one, but didnât Nine only promise to air eight Storm games (outside of the finals, of course) on the main channel in Melbourne last year?

This is way too late for Footy Classified. Hopefully they air it at 8.30 on 9GO first
Not really, Iâm sure 10.30 was its traditional timeslot.
Wow that is one awful schedule.
Youâd think they could show ep16 in Sydney and Brisbane at 8pm in place of the repeat to line everyone up.
Missed opportunity to show live NRL on main channel in Melbourne on Good Friday, especially since there is no Friday night AFL on Seven (that nightâs game is produced by Foxtel and is only simulcast on Seven in Adelaide and Perth).
True, but a Travel Guides repeat will probably rate betterâŚ
Nine is again broadcasting the Wesley Mission Easter Sunrise Service live at 6:00am on Sunday 21 April, with a simulcast on Hope 103.2 and 1Way FM 91.9.
Hope they get the (non) ratings they deserve
Footy Classified has been added to the 9GEM schedule in AFL states at 8:40pm on Monday 15 April
