Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

They have Chicago Med and Chicago Justice they could be airing.

Last year Talent launched to 708,000, peaked at 750,000 and was generally above 600,000. It did considerably better than the Australian version.

But that’s really not saying much when Australia’s Got Talent was one of Nine’s megaflops of Early 2016.

Aren’t they on Foxtel first? And what ratings did Chicago Med get in the late night airing?

Chicago Med premiered with 307,000 in the 8.40pm timeslot was down to 225,000 after 3 episodes. Then it was moved to 9.30 where it rated 188,000.

In week 2, Britain’s Got Talent was the number one program at 8.30; Week 3 it was Nine’s best post 7.30 and generally it was the number one or two show at 8.30 each week always ahead of Winners and Losers for example.

I feel Nine is stretching The Voice out a bit by not showing it four nights a week. It could give MasterChef and House Rules a chance to improve their ratings on Wednesdays (except when State of Origin is on).

Nine featured on MediaWatch for airing a special about the NBN called Everyday Innovators, which was apparently bankrolled by the government telecommunications company. The fact that it was a paid presentation was not clearly disclosed to the audience; the only indication was the NBN logo appearing on the end credits.

The NBN, on NBN. Nice.

It has been pushed back one week to May 8 still at 9pm. According to TV Tonight, next Monday Nine will show a 2013 special, Brits Icon: Elton John. He received first ever Brits Icon Award from Rod Stewart at the gala event and concert in London.

Just saw an ad for this? A factual about people going to Thailand for plastic surgery? Are they for real? New low in television.

Hardly.

I’m guessing that you missed the series “Beauty and the Beach” which aired on Nine around April/May last year (although admittedly, I only remember this show because Gogglebox reviewed one of the episodes) which had a fairly similar concept.

The Footy Show will need to air on Wednesdays from May 24 - June 21 due to the AFL scheduling games on Thursday nights. I doubt they’ll try to go head-to-head with a live game again.

How did Nine end up with this? It’s a CBS production, did TEN not want it?

It seems it was an AEG production for the Grammys.
