Story host Heather Du Plessis-Allan quits MediaWorks and TV
TV3 host Heather du Plessis-Allan has revealed she’s quitting MediaWorks and leaving television - for now.
But the 32 year-old presenter has yet to break the news to her co-host Duncan Garner.
Amanda Gillies filling for for Heather du Plessis-Allan because she has been ordered off air by Mediaworks. She has not been required to work off her notice period and confirmed by Chief News Officer, Hal Crawford, she will not be returning to her roles on Story and on Radio Live.
Apparently it’s to do with the interview she gave to the NZ Herald about her decision to quit Mediaworks at the end of the year. Having read that interview, there’s nothing she said (unless I missed something) which could be deemed ‘controversial’ to order her off air.
Reporting on Dan Lake’s blooper-reel… not sure it it counts as; news, meta, an easy story, all or the above, none of the above… Merry Christmas I guess?
Amanda Gillies and Mark Richardson have been announced as Duncan Garner’s co-hosts for The AM Show in 2017. Kanoa Lloyd is widely tipped to be one of the three co-hosts for The Project.
