The origins of the Philly anthem, WPVIā€™s Move Closer to Your World:

The station made a mini-documentary on the 1996 blunder, to be released this Summer:

Planned for a late summer release, 6ABC president Bernie Prazenica said, a mini-documentary will chronicle how viewers reacted to an ā€œorchestratedā€ version of the opening theme that debuted on Sept. 20, 1996.

Discovered the Southern Cross Network News (Tas) theme they used prior to adopting The Mission. Composed by Brian Bennett who also composed ā€˜New Horizonsā€™ aka the WWOS cricket theme.

These are NBC themes which are ironically named for Today (the US version of course), but yes they were used on Sunrise in the early days.

Iā€™ve always liked them but each to their own.

Iā€™ve been slowly working on the 2005 - 2008 Ten News Opener/Bed Theme, as it seems like it isnā€™t online (where i can find it), definitely nowhere near complete, but wanted to share my progress so far nevertheless.

If anyone could point me towards resources to more (even if it is parts of the full theme/different beds), that would be much appreciated :slight_smile:
