As a result of the above, New FM has announced changes to its breakfast & drive programs. Joel Gosper is moving back to drive, whilst drive team Ari & Krivo move back to breakfast. The changes take effect from Monday.

Good move. It was odd having Ari & Krivo on Drive followed by Will & Woody. Better to have just one duo of an afternoon - and keep the music going.

Hit 106.9 now on the Triple M Metro call with Dan Ginnane

Triple M Newcastle on their own local call.

Interesting to say the least. I didn’t think Hit would do that.

It was in the press release earlier in the week.

I haven’t heard it because I’m at 2HD doing our call.

Who called that?

SEN team.

Hit 106.9 Triple M?

I imagine they would have crashed in/out of network programming?

Ahh you’ve been paneling for 2HD and into the SEN coverage? Highly underrated just quietly, if you are a footy head it’s top shelf.

It’s a shock but I like it in places like Newcastle.

Yep. It’s been a week!

Just wish the listnr app didn’t have the lag. Would have listened to the Triple M Newcastle call. I listened to the Sydney one via my sports ears.

Nic and Joel never sounded good. Joel is much better just running solo with some local guests and entertainment.

Ari and Krivo’s show is very good. Expect their Breakfast and overall ratings to slowly improve as a result of this move

While driving home from work this evening i was swapping between stations. Both 2NUR FM and New FM were both at the same time were playing Solid Rock by Goanna. What are the chances of two different stations in Newcastle playing the same song at the same time?

Mind you some weird things can happen during the overnight hours when stations are on autopilot

I still remember back in the 1980s 2NX and 2KO playing Cyndi Lauper’s ā€œTime After Timeā€ at the same time, though it was a Top 40 hit at that time. Those were the times

I remember Invisible Touch by Genesis got massive airplay for a couple of months and recall hearing it on FM 104, Stereo 10 and 4BK almost simultaneously once.
