I still haven’t heard a peep about how CRC Motorsport will proceed - I presume they’ll ditch the Studio-based content and just show each race as-is? ---

More Fast Channels coming to ThreeNow, with CNN and a Graham Norton channel arriving soon. Does anyone know if TVNZ+ will add any? Haven’t heard anything but if the calibre of Three’s FAST offerings are anything to go by I don’t think we’re missing much. A Graham Norton Show 24-7 channel? Is it 2012? ---

I certainly wouldn’t be against the idea…not my cup of tea (I would rather curate my viewing) but you could certainly try things. Seven Sharp 24/7 (I was going to suggest Sunday but…y’know) or try TVNZ Heartland again digitally etc. ---

I was thinking more around the old TVNZ Heartland idea and delving into TVNZ’s archives, if they can get the rights clearance. There’s a few possibilities they could explore to carve out a FAST strategy that differs from WBD’s offerings. ---

I love the idea of a Graham Norton Fast channel, im liking the outrageous fortune/westside channel as well! Im hoping they have more fast channels coming, I hope to see a missing pieces/David Lomas channel personally. ---

I guess something like Graham Norton could work well as it’s not something people are going to boxset or go searching out individual episodes but if you stumble across it and there are a couple of interesting guests you might stick with it. Ultimately though no amount of FAST channels and imported content on ThreeNOW is going to make up for removing all local content from Three. Indeed if they really want to push their streaming service surely local content is a key tool to drive people to that too. Ultimately we’re seeing now what happens to a countries TV industry when the industry is pretty much void of regulation. I find it odd that for a country which has strict regulations about ads on Sundays/Easter Sunday/Christmas Day that there seems to be so little around protecting content. It isn’t just about viewing choices but protecting jobs and ensuring there is a creative industry within the country which ultimately would contribute to the countries tax coffers rather than take from them. ---
