Leon Wratt will be named MediaWorks CEO next year. I don’t imagine Wendy wants to hang around for much longer.
The other name to watch is Christian Boston (Bosto) - former ZM Programme Director - who would be an excellent choice. A really smart radio operator who’s overseen the success of More FM and The Breeze in the last 12 years.
NZME’s weakness is music radio and they really need someone with a strong music background - and insight into MediaWorks’ strategy and vision.

Yeah my first thought was Boston. It really needs to be someone with a music bent as you said @medianz.

ARN should have taken the gamble and moved the whole Ash London Show on air team to KIIS. Something different in the market and something younger skewing.

The move sees Lucy on Edge Days and Ollie on Edge Nights.
I have been listening a bit and it seems the same ‘audience’ have since decided the 90’s and 00’s tracks weren’t what they wanted after all, anything newer that was added after the ‘rebuild’ has been ditched.
That is a shame as the sound were starting to sound fresh so to speak.
Will be interested to see how many people follow roger to the sound or will
They shed more listners
