Changes to The Hits local shows. Bay Of Plenty Days is now hosted by Sam Weston following the departure of Lauren Mabbet. The difference is that The Hits still needs to keep building its audience whichever way it can and More FM needs to retain its audience by not dramatically changing anything. Seems like a push to win Canterbury listeners from More. The Hits is sounding super fresh - and agree that More is stuck in the past and feels dated and cheap. Interesting that The Hits is using Howard Ritchie’s voice in their imaging (Capital UK, 2DayFM, KIIS Australia). Definitely going for a younger vibe. ---

Haha they definitely sound similar. The Hits is doing a big campaign to win listeners in Canterbury. Jono, Ben & Megan were broadcasting from Christchurch on Monday and Tuesday, and did a live pub quiz on Monday night. ---

I thought MW might have shifted Edge Breakfast to More FM breakfast. they would have had a similar feel / energy to The Hits Jono and Ben. and Clint, Meg and Dan aren’t really firing on The edge going by the ratings but a good trio imo. More Breakfast Club is so dull, good luck to Simon Barnett surely a sixth member of the show will improve it 😂 ---
