Network Ten 2018

An Australian Idol revival anyone? :joy: Why else would they be looking at the facebook messages on the old facebook account for the show…

I feel as though singing shows have had their moment for a while… XFactor was slipping and sliding every year, The Voice wasn’t on fire this year and Aus Idol was waning for years before it wrapped up…

There’s only so much you can do with the format… a format like Big Brother lends itself to being very adaptable, with Idol you get up you sing, you get judged and you get eliminated…

Nollsy as host and you’ve got yourself a winner baby. Maybe not with ratings, but the memes will be off the charts.

Yeah, it’s called Love Island. No need to have a mainland edition. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ok, but those Love Island/BB fans would want somthing to watch outside of the Month or so that Love Island airs.

Usual crap from McGarvey.

“No gaps in the schedule next year” - Paul Anderson said this last year and this year.

Unfortunately Nine got it (Lego Masters).

I never understand why people are very anti nine picking up formats. Fact is they treat shows pretty well and they seem to be mostly successful. Nine also seem to get brands that are quite untried and different. So never sure why people are anti them.

Because when they pick up a well know format they usually ruin it. An example is when they picked up Big Brother.

Not to mention Australia’s Got Talent.

But then there are so many that you could say the opposite too. Big Brother was quite well executed by nine in the first season they had it, IMO. It was the second and third where they ruined it.

So we can look at one good season on Nine before they ruin it? Good news.

We need some kind of show that’s just all meme. Memes make you lol, but like, good.

Breen will leave the comforts of his home and live with groups of different people for five days, immersing himself, getting to know their issues, what bugs them and what life is really like for them.

“Then, at the end of a period of time, he does a stand-up set that he writes with them in mind and those people sit in this studio and he effectively makes jokes about them.”

Wow, certainly sounds different.

So these pilots aren’t all going to be drama as was initially insinuated.
