Neighbours

The Young Doctors? IMDB says he was in Sons & Daughters but not The Young Doctors.

Based on what?

Fair enough - must take more fish oil capsules.

Yeah! Bring back the days when they would cast established actors like Blair McDonough

Neighbours could be axed from British screens if deal isn’t reached:

Going to be real tragedy if Neighbours disappears from British TV altogether given it is the show’s biggest overseas market.
A petition has started on change.org urging Channel 5 owner Viacom to keep Neighbours on the channel. If you want to help, please sign it.

Herald Sun says today that last year’s I’m a Celebrity winner Brendan Fevola will appear on the show in a cameo role, following the footsteps of his Fox FM colleague Fifi Box.

The thing is, Neighbours still gives them five of the top 20 shows in most weeks. Tjat would be abig hole for them and affect ratings leading into night time.

So he will fit in perfectly

You were wrong.

It turns out he’s quite good.

Was that one of the shocks in a whole week of shocks?

That was last week’s shock. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It seems like these shows can’t exist without a shock and guest villain ever week. :joy:

Adele visited Ramsay Street before the Melbourne concerts last week and posted a photo on her Instagram.

London episodes started tonight with Toadie walking past random London landmarks in his winter woolies.

Neighbours production company speaks out on the show’s future after axe claims

I think the only way Neighbours can survive, is to put it back on ten and make it more family friendly, like the good old days. Because the way they promote it on eleven…

Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy) was interviewed on Nova by Fitzy & Wippa this morning.

He said it was not the first time that a tabloid newspaper in the UK has written a story about Neighbours being threatened with the axe (especially at contract negotiation time). The producers of the show have a good relationship with Eleven and Five, so he recommended not believing the story in the newspaper.

Also, the visit to Ramsay Street by Adele was her just playing tourist. It was neither a guest appearance or arranged with the producers. She just went there on her own.

There is a ‘filter’ on ‘Snapchat’ promoting the return of Neighbours today. Had some fun with it.

For our older visiters and admins, ‘Snapchat’ is an image sharing service.

Ch 10 would be relieved that Neighbours rated 202k for the climactic ‘London’ ep last night with “Dee”, one of the highest-rated eps so far this year. It’s also been trending regularly on twitter and lots of media coverage.

Certainly a successful storyline, even if season average ratings are only up a little.

Ten’s long-time head of drama and entertainment Rick Mair, told the Herald Sun’s Confidential:

“Neighbours is regularly beating Home and Away twice in the UK [on Channel 5]”.

From TV Week.

A new family is moving into Ramsay Street from 17 April 2017.

Toadie’s older brother Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) and his family are set to move to Erinsborough. Joining Shane in his relocation from the country is his wife Dipi (Sharon Johal) and teenage daughters Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) and Kirsha (Vani Dhir). Also in tow is Dipi’s younger sister Mishti Sharma (Scarlet Vas).

I watched Neighbours for the first time in years last night (via Gogglebox). That was a great ‘PG’ storyline which was still suitable for families. Hopefully the British audiences liked it so the show can move forward with PG like H&A did years ago.

I agree with moving the show back to Ten 6:30pm. It’s a no brainer.
