They are just testing people out to see who will work, which is why they have used Tim, Alex, Chris Kohler and now Gavin Morris. I feel like one of those choices will be picked in January.

Think Tyson Cottrill has done a great job presenting bulletins over the holiday period. Good to have a Newcastle local sticking with NBN instead of moving to metro after few years experience.

NBN news finished with no closing theme, then went to a black screen for about a minute and cut into 9 News Sydney weather.

Wow sounds like they mistimed their bulletin badly to close that early?
With the old music they could finish a few mins early if they wanted to, the theme music was queued and playing in the background and was timed to finish on the hour

Who gave the control guys at QTQ the early close there? 
I thought they’d be able to do that with the current music too.
I’ve said it in here before but I remember 5 or more minute closers when NBN’s late edition news ended.
