“If Shaz can dream it, Mitch can do it!”

Meet My Reno Rules team, Mitch and Shaz

It’s the biggest giveaway in Australian television history!

Adrian Portelli is a self‑made billionaire and he’s about to do something he’s never done before: give away two spectacularly renovated, multi‑million‑dollar homes to two lucky Australian families on My Reno Rules, coming soon to Seven and 7plus.

Hosted by Dr Chris Brown, My Reno Rules sees four hardworking teams of Aussie battlers go head-to-head as they breathe new life into two neighbouring, rundown houses in a picturesque Melbourne suburb.

One of those teams is Queensland’s Mitch and Shaz. With the cost of living biting hard, the newlyweds are competing to secure a brighter future for their family.

With Mitch working as a landscape project manager and Shaz running her own interior design company, the pair will be in their element as they step into the My Reno Rules competition.

Laidback but determined and passionate, their team ethos will be: “If Shaz can dream it, Mitch can do it!” Backing each other all the way and focused on finding the fun in every job, they are set to tackle their biggest project to date on My Reno Rules.

To win, the contestants must impress the My Reno Rules judges: style icon Neale Whitaker (The Block and Love It or List It), top buyer’s agent Simon Cohen (Dream Home, Luxe Listings Sydney), and Julia Green, founder of Greenhouse Interiors, a leading destination for boutique homewares, fine art and interior styling services.

But it’s not just the contestants who walk away winners. In a must‑watch television event, the live grand final will see two lucky Australian families receive a life‑changing call telling them they have each won a renovated, fully furnished, fully landscaped, state‑of‑the‑art home.

My Reno Rules is a new format produced by Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay Entertainment Company) and distributed internationally by Banijay Rights for the Seven Network.

“We’re the underdogs of the competition”

Meet My Reno Rules team, Franky and Isaac

It’s the biggest giveaway in Australian television history!

Adrian Portelli is a self‑made billionaire and he’s about to do something he’s never done before: give away two spectacularly renovated, multi‑million‑dollar homes to two lucky Australian families on My Reno Rules, coming soon to Seven and 7plus.

Melbourne best mates Franky, 38, and Isaac, 23, might consider themselves the underdogs of the competition, but what they lack in renovation experience, they make up for with their can-do attitude, laugh-a-minute enthusiasm, Greek generosity of spirit – and in Isaac’s case – luscious, flowing locks!

Having worked together in Franky’s AV business, the pair spent years side-by-side before Isaac moved on to become a junior foreman. Reunited for My Reno Rules, this playful pair – aka “double trouble” – will have their work cut out keeping optimism high in the face of tight deadlines and pressure to impress. But they are driven by the knowledge that a win could change their fortunes and make their dreams of becoming homeowners a possibility.

“I’d love to buy a home to host big fat Greek BBQs for all my family,” shared Franky about his plans should he win the life-changing prizemoney. “I’d also help my mum, dad and brother because they’ve done so much for me.”

Isaac added: “l would simply put the money toward buying a house for my fiancée and me. A head start like that would allow us to start a family at a young age.”

My Reno Rules Coming soon to Seven and 7plus

It’s not a new Format it’s a reheated Format with tweaks something that used to be on 7 House Rules I think Viewers are getting tired of The Block anyways.Maybe 7 should bring back My Restaurant Rules after 22 Years is Curtis Stone busy?:winking_face_with_tongue:

It’s more closer to the Block now. The biggest differences was that the contestants got their homes renovated. So that was their point of difference.

Now there is no point of difference with the renovations. The only difference is that viewers can win the houses - which is similar to an auction not exactly but kinda the same end result with a viewer ending up owning the houses

How do you create the excitement of the auctions though on the final ep… with a lottery?

No thanks. My Kitchen Rules replaced My Restaurant Rules and they had more success with that.

MKR used to have a few rounds in the finals where the contestants created and ran their own restaurants. That has been removed from the competition now.

I hope the Reno Rules show flops the format has been done to death I hope it ends up on one of the multi channels after 2 weeks to force them to come up with something new next year but I don’t like my chances of that happening. It might have Australia’s biggest prize on TV so my prediction or hope probably won’t come true unfortunately.

My Reno Rules set to rock the renovation landscape

The biggest giveaway in Australian TV History starts Tuesday, 21 April on Seven

It’s hard hats and high-vis vests at 50 paces as My Reno Rules gets ready to rock the renovation landscape and change the fortunes of two lucky Australian families with the biggest viewer giveaway in Australian television history, premiering 7.30pm Tuesday, 21 April on Seven and 7plus.

In this debut season hosted by Dr Chris Brown, four teams will transform two tired and rundown 1970s relics in the coveted Melbourne suburb of Bulleen into stylish, modern multi-million-dollar masterpieces that families will fawn over.

Two teams of two will tackle the revamp of each house, designing and renovating rooms each week to impress the competition’s three expert judges: influential design guru Neale Whitaker, founder and CEO of Australia’s largest buyer’s agency Simon Cohen and interior stylist and author Julia Green. With their efforts tallied weekly on the leaderboard, the team with the most points at the end of the competition will win themselves a massive, life-changing cash prize.

Billionaire businessman Adrian Portelli purchased the side-by-side dwellings ripe for revival and will monitor progress as he prepares to shake up the property game in an unprecedented way: by giving away the finished homes.

Expect the unexpected from Adrian, as he ensures motivation levels on the building site match his expectations, in a way that only he can. Suffice to say, lives will be transformed, futures secured and teams left speechless.

House 1 will be transformed by mother-daughter duo Emma and Michelle, alongside young parents Nathan and Julia.

In House 2, best mates Franky and Isaac will team up with newlywed parents Mitch and Shaz to work their makeover magic. All four teams arrive ready to flex their reno muscle and eye for design, equipped with credentials and experience that could see them soar.

Viewers will witness breathtaking makeovers unfold week by week, knowing that they could be in the running to win the keys to a brand-new future when the series culminates in a stunning, must-watch live finale set to make history.

My Reno Rules is a new format produced by Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay Entertainment Company) and distributed internationally by Banijay Rights.

My Reno Rules

Premieres 7.30pm, Tuesday 21 April on Seven and 7plus

It’s rare to start a new season of a reality competition show on a Tuesday night.

Obviously Seven has scheduled the premiere away from The Floor, but it could come up against Travel Guides instead, not to mention MasterChef in the same timeslot.

Will it be a Sunday to Tuesday show or a Monday to Tuesday show with New 1% club AU being on Sunday?

it’s odd to start on Tuesday when they have Sunday & Monday free. I’m pretty sure they don’t have AFL on that Sunday night.

The one being shown this week will be Seven’s last live game in the slot until end of May. Not sure about tape-delaying.

TBA will be shown on Sunday and Monday according to Seven’s schedule

New promo with Dr Chris and the judges

Not sure how this was green lit after ‘Dr Chris’ and Seven’s last reno attempt? Seems very risky and like they’ve run out of ideas. Either that or they’re desperate for some of those Nine Block advertisers and demographics and need a vehicle for Chris’ network contract. The timeslot they’ve given this, at least initially, suggests they’re not overly confident.

Also previous management, would be interesting what Southern Cross and their bean counters think too.

TV Week interview with Dr Chris, who is on the front cover this week.

A promo aired tonight, except this slide was disjointedly inserted after it.

Seems standard when they tack an airdate on the end of an existing promo.
