Keli Holiday forced to fly home after US authorities revoke visa mid-tour
Aussie muso Keli Holiday has been forced to return home early after being refused re-entry into the US midway through his tour.
“Blue dot fever” is one of those phrases that feels like it has popped right out of a marketing team’s imagineering awayday, designed to become an instant talking point. Thus you’ve probably read about it by now: the phenomenon where large stadium and arena tours are being cancelled due to not enough seats being sold – and the Ticketmaster stadium seating plans being littered with the blue dots that signify unsold seats.
Concert tickets are so expensive these days, you can’t blame concert goers for not wanting to pay full price. They wait until the last minute, hoping that tickets will sell at a discounted price. But now the concert organisers and artists are just cancelling the shows.
Not to mention the costs of stuff when you get to the venue, like food, drink, parking, merch, etc…
I understand the artists have to make a living, but someone is taking the piss along the way.

Delta Goodrem’s next album Pure will be released on November 6, three days before her birthday.
It will be her first album to be distributed by Universal Music Group. It will be distributed in Europe by Universal’s German-based imprints Better Now and Electrola.
The announcement coincided with Delta’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Stan streamed the Grammys live earlier this year in Australia.
For the first time in six months, an Olivia does not occupy number one on the ARIA Singles Chart.
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” takes out top spot this week.
Just ridiculous that the same songs go up and down for months on end and the same song can hit number one three or four times. The charts are cooked.

The only ones I trust are the ones I have to most songs played on my Spotify and YouTube Music playlists. They’re always top notch.

Australia’s favourite Irish band (in my honest opinion, at least), The Script, have announced they’ll be returning Down Under next March for a run of three arena shows.
Their Sydney show, at the soon-to-be-named Afterpay Arena (formerly Qudos Bank Arena) falls during the middle of the Easter long weekend.
