Is anyone seriously going to watch this ?

Melania Trump’s much anticipated doco flops on premiere day

https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/life/entertainment/movies/2026/01/31/melania-doco-flops

Amazon reportedly forked out almost $60 million for the rights to film the first lady for 20 days in the lead-up to the 2025 presidential inauguration. However, the tech giant may rue that decision after looking at the box office takings.

Despite the US President himself claiming tickets are “very hard to get” most cinemas in Australia on release day only sold single digits to each session.

By reviewers only.

Even his diehard supporters - believe me, there are no shortage of them, who will be willing to (if not already) fork out money for all his weird products - were like “meh, count me out for this”.

Surprised they’re releasing this in Australia. They’ve (smartly) done nothing to promote it.

It’s only playing one session a day at my local cinema. :joy:

The official trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has dropped.

Looking forward to this!

That is very tough and a shame, but not surprising.

But yeah, who wants a Tassie film in Western Australia :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

The people who are making it thanks to funds from Western Australia.
