A very competitive Monday with Nine number one again. Seven had the second highest network share with ABC’s main channel second while 10 won the key demos.

Nine won Sydney and Brisbane. ABC won Melbourne, while Seven won Adelaide and Perth. In Melbourne, Nine was second and 10 third. In Brisbane 10 was second with Seven third. In Adelaide, Nine was second with ABC third.

The announcement of the winner of Junior MasterChef was the top entertainment program on Monday with 881,000 tuning in. The rest of the final was a season high 652,000 – up 100,000 from the launch episode 4 weeks ago.

On Nine, The Block was down only slightly to be the number on 7.30 show. SAS: Australia, however, was down 90,000 to another season low.

Four Corners was the stand out performer for ABC with a season high 824,000 which help boost Media Watch and Q+A.

Have You Been Paying Attention also did well to be steady with the previous week.

7Mate’s Australian line-up continues to disappoint.

While 10 will no doubt be happy with the ratings of Junior MasterChef finale, it will be wondering where those 250,000-350,000 extra viewers (who tuned in for the winner announcement) had been for the rest of the season.
The season finale of Four Corners did very well.

I watched the Junior Masterchef finale on 10play and I was very surprised with The finale last night. Junior Masterchef Finale beat The Block and was Number 1 in all demos.

that’s an unusually high rating JMC finale for a series that’s seen mediocre ratings during its run.
Maybe it’s had high catch-up up viewing who chose to watch the finale live>
Anyway, good to see.

My thoughts exactly, 10 did really well

Long the head to head winner in Melbourne, the Project is now consistently beating H&A in Brisbane and is nipping at its heels in Sydney as well.

Probably from the other 7 encore showings per episode across 4 channels

It’s probably more to do with the core MasterChef audience just didn’t have the same interest to commit to watching kids cook multiple nights a week. However the brand has enough pull to get a lot of them back and have some interest as a one off for a finale.
