Monday 4 September 2023

Monday marked the return of Seven’s My Kitchen Rules and with a metro linear audience of 470,000 it is the lowest ever season launch for the franchise. It compares to the 2022 season that launched to 502,000. Prior to that it was 498,000 for the 2020 season that saw the show rested while 2019 premiered to 819,000.

However, while Seven lost its first Monday in ten weeks, the network was still competitive, one point behind Nine.

On NIne, The Block picked up 30k extra viewers from the previous Monday to be the top entertainment show of the night. Missing Person Investigations that followed was steady.

10’s best was again Have You Been Paying Attention? that was down 40k with Chrissie Swan at the helm. Earlier, The Traitors got a small boost and recorded a season high audience.

Meanwhile Australian Story was more popular this week but Four Corners and Media Watch both slipped by 15k for ABC.

News numbers were on par while A Current Affair again impressed over 700k. That saw Home and Away drop to a Monday low audience.
