shit BIP bringing HYBPA down hard.

Both Nine and ABC picked up nearly 2 percentage points each from the previous Monday. That saw Seven and SBS lose share while 10 was steady.

Nine won along the east coast with Seven ahead in Adelaide and Perth. 7Mate in Adelaide was well into double figures and ranked as the 4th channel overall.

Nine won 25-54 with 10 second. 10 won 16-39 with Nine second.

Ninja Warrior and Bachelor In Paradise recorded higher audiences than the previous Monday while Farmer Wants A wife was down slightly to a season low. The Ninjas won 25-54 with B in P ahead in the other demos.

Despite rating lower than previously, HYBPA was still in front at 9pm with 9-1-1 Lone Star and Nine’s Ian Chappell special A Glorious Life missing the top 20.

The Nine News Melbourne 6pm figure is the highest for a bulletin this year.

Ninjas having an impact too going head to head against it until 9:30 last night. But more of a punch in the demos.
I still think 10 will be happy with BiPs overall performance during the run.

Wow. 496k for Nine News Melbourne!

Now surely this is the highest in a few years?

Yes the 9pm start time is killing HYBPA. Such a shame that crap before it drags down a quality show.

Goes to show HYBPA is not a self-starter after all and is still reliant on its lead-ins. Hopefully it will bounce back next week with the return of The Masked Singer.
496,000 for first half of Nine News Melbourne - extraordinary! It was helped by Hot Seat’s big win over The Chase in Melbourne at 5.30pm. But Seven News with Mike Amor at the helm also had 400,000 of its own.
ABC News channel again did well in the afternoon, with its coverage of Daniel Andrews press conference announcing which industries would have to close for at least the next six weeks as part of the stage 4 lockdown.

Seven News Brisbane managed to win across the whole hour against Nine.

I do agree with you there

Farmer falling right into Seven’s usual model of shows that do respectable total people figures, but are nowhere in the demos.

Nine News Melbourne’s’ 496,000 is Nine’s highest weekday bulletin since 16/06/2015

It is the highest weekday Australian bulletin since Seven Melbourne had 518,000 25/04/2019. Seven Melbourne had 544,000 on a Saturday 21/09/2019.

Thanks for the numbers.

There aren’t many shows getting above 500k in the 8:30/9pm slot. I don’t think that is that bad for HYBPA.

Just not in primetime. Its figures in Melbourne in the afternoon were huge. Elsewhere not so much. It does prove ABC News is where to go when you want your news. It is a wonder why no other networks have ever tried a 24 hour news service. It wouldn’t be that hard to do as most of the coverage is going to press conferences and there are press conferences every day.

You can’t necessarily classify it as “24 hour news” because they fill in quite big gaps with other current affair programs. That might be why other networks aren’t trying.

In general, yes.
